My name is Jabulile — but everyone calls me Jabu. It means "happiness" in Zulu, and making people feel heard and uplifted is truly what brings me joy.
I've always been the person people come to when they need someone to talk to. Friends, family, even strangers — something about me makes people feel safe enough to open up. One day, I realized: this is more than a personality trait. This is my gift, and it can help people who are truly struggling with loneliness and isolation.
So I created JabuListens — a simple, personal service where I offer what I do best: listen with genuine empathy and care.
Let me be clear about something important:
I am NOT a therapist. I don't diagnose, I don't treat, and I don't prescribe. If you're in a mental health crisis, I'll always encourage you to seek professional help.
I am NOT a life coach. I won't tell you what to do, give you a 10-step plan, or try to "fix" you. You're not broken.
I AM a real person with a warm heart, a patient ear, and genuine care for your wellbeing. I'm someone who will listen to you without judgment — whether you need to vent about your day, talk through grief, process loneliness, or simply have a conversation with someone who cares.
Think of me as the friend you wish you had — someone who always picks up, always has time, and always truly listens.
Big platforms match you with random strangers. I offer something different — a real, consistent relationship with someone who remembers your story.
You always talk to the same person — me. No algorithm matching, no new stranger every time. I remember you, your story, and what matters to you.
I'm not doing this to collect a commission on a platform. I do this because listening is my calling. You'll feel the difference.
